Pulse Survey

The pulse survey is a bi-weekly internal employee survey, running since February 2024. It captures how the team rates five topics on a scale from 1 to 7, with room for open feedback:

  • Performance of the company
  • Life at work in general
  • Happiness with individual work
  • Work load
  • Team spirit

Steps

  1. The survey itself lives in Tally, owned by the BusOps mailbox. Responses flow into the results GSheet.
  2. A Slack reminder goes out monthly (second Monday), created via a Slack workflow.
  3. PDs produce the output slide from the Tableau workbook that visualises the results (dark, light, and monochrome variants exist). Before exporting, check the GSheet for duplicate respondent IDs in the timeframe and remove them, and select the correct reporting window in the workbook’s Settings tab.
  4. The slide is presented at the monthly All-hands meeting (second Thursday). Only responses up to the end of the previous calendar week are included in the result set.

Notes

An additional Tableau view tracks the development of each question over time. Access to the Tally survey, the results GSheet, and the Tableau workbook is managed through the BusOps 1Password vault entries, not stored here.
