Peer Feedback

Constructive peer feedback supports growth and continuous improvement. This process lets a team member exchange feedback with a peer, focused on contributions, strengths, and areas for development, in an open and respectful way. The output can be used in the Dialogue as an additional data point to reflect on progress.

  • Facilitator: the employee requesting the feedback.
  • Duration: 30 minutes (60 minutes if it is a two-way exchange, 30 per direction).
  • Timing: on demand, whenever the employee wants it (aligned with the peer).
  • Material: the “Template - 3 - Peer Feedback” sheet in the GSheets template gallery.

Steps

  1. Think about whom you could ask to provide peer feedback.
  2. Approach the person and check whether they have time to give feedback, and whether they also want to receive peer feedback from you (a two-way exchange often leads to a more valuable discussion).
  3. Copy the peer-feedback sheet into a new GSheet and share it with the peer.
  4. Once it is filled in, set up a 30-minute session to discuss the feedback. For a two-way exchange, schedule 60 minutes (30 minutes per direction).
  5. Share your feedback with your PD afterwards.

PD role

The PD does not actively drive this process. After the peer feedback has been handed in, the PD checks with the employee whether there is anything they want to discuss in a 1:1.
